In 1998, six surgeons and two engineers, convinced by Professor BOUSQUET’s dual mobility hip implant idea, created a study group to develop a prosthesis based on this concept which was about to enter public domain in 1999.
Choosing the name GROUPE GILES (Groupe des Inventeurs Lyonnais et Stéphanois) was an homage to Pr. Gilles BOUSQUET’s legacy.
